Papercams
These are pinhole camera pictures unlike anything else you will see in this gallery or most anywhere else. There is no negative involved and these are not prints of pictures.
Each one is a unique object (sized 11x11in or 11x14 inches). Each is hand made from a sheet of darkroom photo paper. The paper is folded into a box with the light-sensitive surface on the inside. The pinhole is opened and the image is recorded on the inside of the paper camera box itself. The camera only exists to take the one picture, and when it is de-constructed and unfolded it reveals the picture within.
These are technically challenging to make and there are not many in existence. They are not available on the same terms as Tom’s other pictures.
