Up the River

In the early 19th century the artists of the Hudson River School escaped the calamitous streets of Gotham to explore the wilderness up the river in search of their Arcadian ideal of truth and beauty.

They apparently found it, at least on the canvas. In the early 21st century I did something similar. This collection is what I found in the countryside upstate.
